EPL:Pogba not miss by Man United Thanks to in-form Fellaini

Image
The Belgian giant has found it difficult to win some fans of United, but there can be no doubt of its value to the side at the moment. The vision of Paul Pogba limping from the return of Manchester United to the action of the Champions League against Basel in early September had many fans of the Reds concerned, particularly when Marouane Fellaini was called to take the place of the Frenchman. Such is the reputation of the Belgian among some factions of United's fan base, it has become something of a fun figure during his time at Old Trafford. His sometimes clumsy style of play has been a slow burner with supporters of a club who have done their best to boast slick football over a period of many decades. But since the absence of Pogba, Fellaini has become a streak of form that has had Jose Mourinho deliver innumerable superlatives, and Saturday was scored twice as United rejected the Premier League game Crystal Palace 4-0 at Old Trafford. The value of Fellaini for United ...

Mourinho:Manchester United relying on Lukaku till Zlatan returns to fitness

Image
Jose Mourinho says Man United are relying on Romelu Lukaku to keep shouldering the goal-scoring burden until Zlatan Ibrahimovic returns to fitness. The Belgian striker has been in red-hot form for United, scoring 10 times in nine appearances, while playing 90 minutes in each of those matches. The 24-year-old's only rest came during United's 4-1 Carabao Cup victory over Burton Albion, and Mourinho says he will continue to lean heavily on Lukaku until Ibrahimovic works his way back from a serious knee injury. "Without Zlatan, we can not rotate the striker, especially since Marcus Rashford is playing in other positions," said Mourinho, whose side faces Crystal Palace on Saturday. "So until the moment we have Zlatan, we can not think about giving rest to our number nine the same way we give in other positions." Lukaku faced a huge weight of expectation after completing his £ 90m move from Everton to United but despite increasing scrutiny on his pe...

However, the Catalan natives continue to propose their proposal, and this includes an action plan for sports clubs in the event of the formation of a new country. Barcelona, Espanyol and Girona all face an uncertain future in the back of independence, but Gerard Figueras believes there are plenty of intriguing options to explore. He said: "In the case of independence, the Catalan teams of La L...

The French outfit saw the Ligue 1 crown wrestled from their grasp by Monaco last season and responded over the summer with an elaborate recruitment drive which saw them bring in €222 million man Neymar and teenage forward Kylian Mbappe, who will end up costing them €180m. With Edinson Cavani already at the club, PSG now boast an enviable array of attacking talent – although they have already  experienced problems when it comes to harmony within the ranks . Unai Emery will be hoping to see those issues put to one side against Bayern on Wednesday, but Robben has warned that the Bundesliga champions will head to Paris with no fear regarding the challenge in front of them. ...
