TENNIS:Nadal advance to quarter finals at China Open

Rafael Nadal sent an ominous warning of intent when the 16-time Grand Slam winner crawled into the quarterfinals of the China Open on Thursday.
The Spanish world number 1, enjoying a late-race floreo, dispatched promising Russia Karen Khachanov 6-3 and 6-3 in the hard field of Beijing.
Nadal, the best striker and coming from the back of a third US Open title, faces American John Isner in the last eight.
The 31-year-old Nadal broke Khachanov, ranked 42nd in the world in the fourth game and never had any serious problems after that.
Khachanov, a 21-year-old rising talent, simply had no response to Nadal's explosive lead and made too many routine mistakes.
Nadal broke the young Russian again in the third set of the second set while crossing in the last eight.
It was a contrast to his opening in the Chinese capital, when Nadal saved two match points against Frenchman Lucas Pouille.
